10 Minutes in the Word: Psalms | Review

psalms

This is a short, daily devotional that allows you to do a quick study in only 10 minutes. I think their goal is to show how much even 10 minutes spent in the word can totally transform your day and your life.

Each day, you are to read a small section of Psalms, followed by a lesson and a prayer.

I recently read the version of this for Proverbs and loved it, and this one didn’t quite live up to my expectations from Proverbs. At the beginning, these devotions and prayers didn’t seem very real–they seemed to be just flowery language and no real application. However, as I got more into it, I enjoyed and learned from it so much more.

If you read this, I highly recommend having a journal nearby so you may make your reflections as you read.

This book ends really abruptly without wrapping up or anything, which I wished it had.

Overall, I ended up giving this 4/5 stars.

*I received a free copy of this book for review. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
